Apparently Virginia is a significant source of spam and the courts here have real expertise in adjudicating antispam cases. There is a new court case expected to be filed against spammers by ”seeking the identity of individuals responsible for harvesting millions of e-mail addresses on behalf of spammers.”
“It is clear that the key to stopping spam is identifying those responsible for it, and getting that information into the hands of those capable of doing something about it,” [the prosecuting attorney] said.
“… if we can take two or three major spammers offline, that’s a huge victory for the Internet as a whole.”

Spamm sucks. It clogs up my “BULK” Email box. LOL I mean, how many times can I enlarge my PENIS or get a free (Yeah Right!) gift card to Victoria’s Secret!
this issue is similar to the illegal alien issue. the govt. isn’t really interested in stopping these guys. They have way too big of a lobby effort in Washington D.C. – means they pay off politicians.
As soon as you remove a few, the next batch steps in line. Me thinks spam is here to stay and you just need to live with it and be WISE about what you open up.

I’ve been getting the ‘lose the extra weight’ spam, bug time at work. It’s like they know something. Monday, I’ll get back to the gym Monday, I promise…just make it STOP!!
