I was visiting Mobitrends and he has some pictures of Vista Sideshow prototype devices. Have you heard about Sideshow?
Wikipedia describes Sideshow as:
a new technology that lets Windows Vista drive auxiliary, small displays of various form-factors where ready-access to bite-size bits of information could be imagined. These include displays embedded on the outside of a laptop lid or on a detachable device, enabling access to information and media even when the main system is in a standby mode. Data can also be displayed on cell phones and other network-connected devices via Bluetooth and other connectivity options.
I will be watching this feature to see what comes of it.

Vista is very good, I am excited about it. The fact of the matter is, it will be the de facto standard as time marches forward because truthfully most people just accept whatever OS is on their computer when they buy it.
As for the Business Enterprise, you will see it coming there too as hardware ages and folks want to take advantage of the features that come with Vista and Office 2007. As for me personally? I like Vista for the business because of the ease of rollout. I just hope that the security pop-ups don’t get too irritating.

Is it true that many features have been left out and won’t be available until the first service pack? Curious minds…

I haven’t heard that (per se). I am so not a beta tester so I am just getting knee deep into this.

At the other site you wrote: “North Carolina is about six hours away from metropolitan Washington D.C.”
Piece of cake – 6 hrs. is no big deal. Maybe this summer. Are you going to be home? LOL
“Thanks for noticing that I continue to make progress and have lost seven pounds.”
YVW – I will let you know when I catch up. I have recently returned to the gym – 5:30 AM is early, but I feel really good – even with the aches.

Sorry, I don’t think I will be available for coffee.
Good luck with the return to the gym!
